FC 81 AC 78(OT)- Rob Sims 27, Kison 23 and Jordan 11 for FC; DD 35, George 13 and Bo 11 for AC
During the pre-game, Greg jokingly said he hoped for an overtime game after all the great playoff games we’ve witnessed in the NBA as well as in our league this season. And he got his wish. FC was up 46-35 at halftime but AC played tough in the second half and it was a tie game at the end of regulation. FC outscored AC 10-7 in overtime to win the game. AC had a chance to tie the game at the end of overtime but was unable to. Rob Sims had 27 points, including 5 in overtime, to win MVP for the second straight year. It was a fitting ending to the Big Parkway East’s 40th season. The first season back in 1985 saw Beulah beat First Reformed in double overtime 71-70. Thanks everyone for a great 40th season. This was one of the best playoffs we’ve had in our 40 years with many close games. Joe Oliver of AC got the Leadership Award for his spiritual leadership in the league.
